Meet our Nurse Practitioner
Dr. Karen Torres, DNP is an Autonomous Bilingual Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Karen completed her Master's degree (Family Nurse Practitioner), her Doctorate of Nursing Practice thru Ana G. Mendez University and her Psychiatry Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Post Certification at Wilke's University. She is also a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success and Sigma Theta Tau International and was nominated by the National Society of Leadership and Success, which honors excellence and distinguishes itself by providing members access to a five-step leadership program.
Dr. Torres, DNP is passionate about teaching and empowering patients to feel and live their best life. Her practice is research and evidence based. She has over 15 years of healthcare experience in the following settings: Primary/Acute Care, Med Surg, Rehab, Pain Management, Hospice & Memory Care. Karen Torres is also passionate about Aesthetics. She is Board Certified by the Board of Cosmetology in the state of Florida.
Dr. Karen Torres is affiliated with various universities such as: Ana G. Mendez University, South College, Herzing University, Miami Regional University and Perdue University. She helps students learn and practice skills, develop clinical reasoning, and apply theoretical knowledge to real-world patient care. She provides Preceptorship/Mentorship to Family Nurse Practitioner and Doctorate of Nursing Practice students.
Karen Torres, is the founder of Integrated Learning Center (An HSI Approved Training Center), teaching CPR, First Aid, AED, BLS, ACLS & continuing education for healthcare professionals. She oversees a group of Instructors providing mobile services throughout the state of Florida & Puerto Rico. Dr. Torres, DNP is the writer of Cleanse to Stay Healthy, Weight Loss Guide & Perimenopause/Menopause nutrition guide e-book. She believes knowledge without action is futile & this is the reason she works with passion to the serve of others.
